We have partnered with our friends at the County Theatre in Doylestown to present 2040, an engaging documentary that explores the very real possibility that humanity could reverse global climate change and improve the lives of every living thing in the process. The film will be followed by a Q&A session with a panel of community leaders who are working towards a more sustainable and joyful Bucks County through reforestation, energy policy, regenerative agriculture, education, and more. Keeping the same uplifting tone as the film, discussion afterwards will be centered around the positive changes happening right now in our community – and how you can get involved. 50% of proceeds will go to supporting the mission of Peace Valley Nature Center.

Ambler Arboretum of Temple University Director Kathy Salisbury has had to think a lot about what plants will thrive in the changing climate. After more than 500 Arboretum trees were lost due to a EF2 tornado spawned from the remnants of Hurricane Ida in 2021, Kathy had to begin the process of rebuilding the Arboretum. Learn how the predicted changing climate had factored into plant selection and what plants you may consider using that will thrive in the future.
Due to ongoing repairs to the Visitor Center, our upcoming program, “Plants for a Changing Climate” scheduled for Saturday, April 13th at 11:00am, will now be a VIRTUAL PRESENTATION.
