Meet the Staff of Peace Valley Nature Center
The heart of Peace Valley Nature Center lies in the passionate, knowledgeable team that keeps it thriving every day. Our staff is dedicated to environmental education, land stewardship, and creating meaningful experiences for visitors of all ages. Whether they're leading school programs, maintaining trails, caring for exhibits, or supporting our community events, each team member plays a vital role in connecting people with the natural world. Kelly Joslin, Director / Naturalist

When Kelly moved to Bucks County from Chicago in 2014, she immediately adopted Peace Valley Park as an extension of her own backyard. A life-long birder and native plant advocate, the park became her year-round sanctuary. She earned her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in environmental education from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Education and Interpretation from Northeastern Illinois University. She spent the better part of her childhood exploring the wonders of the natural world and has made a rewarding career fostering that sense of wonder in her students and her staff.

Kirstyn grew up just a few minutes from the park, and some of her favorite childhood memories took place right here in peace valley. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Urban Studies and Environmental Studies, focusing on community outreach and nonprofit management. She spent her college years working for the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, organizing to promote local sustainable agriculture, and camping with friends on the weekends. After college, Kirstyn’s curiosity and love of landscapes brought her all over the country while she explored farming, environmental education, sustainable living, and so much more. She eventually found herself back to her first home, where she’s excited to inspire a respect and understanding of the natural world.

Jenn Bilger, Environmental Education ManagerList Item 2

Jenn grew up in NH where she spent most of her childhood outdoors and summers at Pawtuckaway Lake where she fostered her love of the natural world and its healing power. She has a BA in International Studies, with a concentration in French, and a minor in English from Susquehanna University, as well as a MA in Environmental Education from the University of NH. She has 20+ years experience at various environmental non-profit centers, for the last 6 years as the Engagement Director at Wissahickon Trails in Ambler, PA, and for 10 years previously as Summer Camp Director & Environmental Educator at Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol, PA. She is also on the Board of the Neshaminy Watershed Association. She currently lives in Newtown, PA with her husband David and son Ryan. She loves food and adventure, kayaking and rowing, and anything outdoors. She has always loved being outside in nature and connecting people to their natural spaces.

Louise Lehman, Store ManagerList Item 3

Louise has worked with the Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center for thirty plus years. She began as a volunteer and took on additional responsibilities through the years as the Friend’s organization grew. In 2006 she took the position of Sunflower Shop manager. In this capacity she enjoys greeting the public, interacting with the volunteer shopkeepers, and ordering books, feeders, gifts, etc. for our store.

Amy Rims, Office Manager

Amy Rims brings a strong background in office administration, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement to Peace Valley Nature Center. She most recently spent six years as an Office Manager for a promotional products company, where she managed administrative systems, client communications, CRM platforms, and QuickBooks.
Amy also has seven years of experience with a nonprofit fundraising organization and is the co-founder of Garden of Eat’n in Sellersville, a nonprofit that grows and donates fresh produce to local food banks through volunteer-driven community gardens.
From 2015 to 2022, she served on the Board of the Sellersville Historical & Achievement Authority, supporting museum operations, educational programming, exhibitions, and public events.
An accomplished artist, Amy holds a B.S. in Art Education from Temple University, graduating summa cum laude. Her administrative expertise, nonprofit experience, and creative perspective make her a valuable addition to the Nature Center team.

Sarah Hoath, Public Engagement Programs Coordinator
Sarah has been affiliated with PVNC since June of 2023 serving as a Summer Camp Lead Counselor and most recently Teacher Naturalist and Weekend Nature Center Guide. Sarah was selected for this position based on her significant contributions to PVNC using her education experience and very enthusiastic attitude.
She holds a B.S. degree in teaching from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a minor in civic and professional leadership. Sarah's prior experience includes over five years as a public school teacher, in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. She feels passionate about creating engaging experiences through play and environmental educational topics.

Julia Giannattasio, Summer Intern
Julia Giannattasio is a rising senior at Skidmore College, where she is studying Biology with a focus on ecology and evolution. Her academic interests include animal behavior, conservation, and finding meaningful ways to engage communities in environmental stewardship. Originally from Abington, Pennsylvania, Julia grew up exploring local natural areas, including Peace Valley Nature Center, experiences that helped foster her lifelong appreciation for nature and conservation.
Outside of her studies, Julia enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, paddleboarding, and skiing. When she's not exploring the natural world, she can often be found expressing her creativity through pottery. As Peace Valley's Summer Community Science Intern, Julia is excited to help connect people with nature while contributing to ongoing conservation and wildlife monitoring efforts.
