Peace Valley Nature Center is part of Bucks County Parks & Recreation, but the trails, habitats, exhibits, programs, and visitor experiences that make this place so special are strengthened by community support.

The Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), raises funds to enhance environmental education, maintain and improve trails and habitats, support exhibits and signage, and care for the outdoor classroom enjoyed by thousands of children, families, hikers, birders, and nature lovers each year.

We’re excited to announce we received a grant from Visit Bucks County to expand nature tourism and educational experiences at Peace Valley Nature Center.

The grant funds, combined with a generous donation from the Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center, will cover two-thirds of the total project cost. Our goal is to raise the additional $20,000 to complete the project with help from our supportive community. The increased signage, updated maps, garden revitalization, and additional interpretive information will enhance educational opportunities for visitors.

Full funding of the project will improve visitor experience through the following goals:

1. Develop a new trail map, install trail and welcome signs, and self-guided educational activities.
2. Design and install four wildlife gardens around the nature center that will educate visitors about the benefits of rainwater management and the relationship between native plants and the wildlife that depend on them.
3. Update interpretive panels inside the bird blind.

Give Monthly

Monthly giving is one of the easiest and most effective ways to support PVNC throughout the year. Your recurring gift provides steady, reliable support for programs, trails, habitats, and visitor experiences, and helps us plan for the future with confidence.

Give Appreciated Stock

A gift of appreciated stock, mutual funds, or other securities can be a tax savvy way to support Peace Valley Nature Center. Donating appreciated assets may allow you to make a meaningful gift while avoiding capital gains tax on the appreciated value.

Donor-Advised Funds

If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend a grant to the Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center. Gifts from donor-advised funds are a convenient way to support the programs, trails, habitats, and learning spaces that make PVNC special.

When recommending a grant, please designate the Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center as the charitable recipient. You will need our EIN number, which is 23-2121986.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution. A QCD can be a simple and tax-wise way to support PVNC while satisfying all or part of your required minimum distribution, if applicable.

Please consult your financial or tax advisor to determine whether a QCD is right for you.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers will match charitable gifts made by their employees, retirees, or spouses. A matching gift can double or even triple the impact of your donation to the Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center.
