For 50 years, Peace Valley Nature Center (PVNC) has inspired meaningful connections between people and the natural world. In 2026, PVNC will celebrate this milestone anniversary with a year-long series of themed community programs and activities designed to honor its legacy while inspiring stewardship for the next generation.
Throughout the year, Peace Valley Nature Center will host a rotating lineup of signature themes that highlight different aspects of its history, mission, and impact:
Flora & Fauna — guided nature walks, plant identification workshops, and wildlife observation activities that showcase the region’s biodiversity.
Art in Nature — a plein-air painting exhibit and nature-inspired art workshops that blend creativity with the outdoors.
Explore Nature — interactive experiences across the park, including a “Find Your Wild” scavenger hunt at iconic locations throughout Peace Valley.
Education Through the Years — a celebration of PVNC’s role in environmental education, featuring hands-on family activities and reflections on decades of learning in nature.
Looking to the Future — programs highlighting sustainability initiatives, habitat restoration efforts, and visions for the next 50 years of conservation and community engagement.
Peace Valley Nature Center invites the community to keep wondering, keep exploring, and find your wild in 2026 and beyond.
