• Celebrating 50 years of PVNC and looking forward to the next 50 years! 
  • Nature Center Refresh 
  • After being closed for 18 months to complete renovations to the nature center, we reopened in September 2025! Since reopening, we have done a nature center refresh, including an updated Children’s library, newly organized adult library, added a children’s sensory table rotated seasonally, new nature themed dress up clothes and games in the children’s play area, a children’s artwork display, launched an Art Sketch prompt (by the bird watching windows), new TV with rotating slides about commonly spotted birds, updated restrooms, new coffee machine, and new items for sale in the Sunflower Shop. 

 

  • Special events/programs planned to celebrate: 
  • Find Your Wild interactive scavenger hunt launches April 1st 
  • Friends of Peace Valley Nature Center Membership Meeting & Volunteer Celebration on April 18th 
  • Community Volunteer Opportunity – for families – Removing Garlic Mustard on April 26th (Rain date: May 3rd) 
  • Plein Air Painters visit and artwork display in May (add info about Plein Air Painters) 
  • Trail Revitalization Campaign (add info about Trail Revitalization plan & QR code to donate)

For 50 years, Peace Valley Nature Center has been inspiring connections between people and the natural world. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, we’re excited to launch “Find Your Wild,” a brand-new, interactive scavenger hunt designed for explorers of all ages! Take on fun, nature-themed missions, earn points along the way, discover the outdoors in a new way, and be entered for a chance to win great prizes. Participation is completely free, simple to join, and sure to create memories that will last a lifetime. Launching on April 1st — just in time for spring!
