Nature Play Zone
Spending time in nature can reduce stress, improve children’s mood, and enhance their focus, along with sparking children's imagination. Playing with natural materials such as sticks, leaves, stones, pinecones, logs, and tree cookies helps develop problem-solving skills and encourage creativity. These hands-on experiences also strengthen fine motor skills as children build, sort, and explore. In addition, children learn to appreciate the environment and develop curiosity about the world around them when playing in an outdoor environment.
Check out our Nature Play Zone, located just off the Evergreen Trail and open every day from dawn until dusk. Out of respect for wildlife, pets are not permitted in the Nature Play Zone or on the adjacent Nature Center trails.
Activities include:

"Time in nature is not a luxury. It is a necessity. And we must give our children time to explore, discover, and get to know the world, which brings endless delights and lessons that never cease." - Ainsley Arment
