MAPLE SUGARING CELEBRATION

Age: All Ages (minors must be accompanied by an adult)

Bring family and friends or come as a group and experience the way maple sugar was collected and made during the pioneer days. We will travel to the sugar bush to bring back some maple sap for the addition to the boiling pot of soon-to-be syrup.

$10 per child (siblings under 3 may accompany for no charge)
Groups of 15 children with their designated adult(s).
Have a homeschool, scout, or other group? Book a private educational tour to delve deeper into the magic of Maple Sugaring! Learn about the structure of trees and their importance in ecosystems. Listen to sap flow, visit the “sugar bush” to see tapped trees. Experience the signs of winter turning into spring. Taste the product of the sugar maple trees and visit the kettle to see sap boiling down into syrup.

“Take part in this free, worldwide community science event and help us count the birds visiting our feeders! Your observations contribute to a real-time, continental snapshot of bird populations used by scientists around the world. Binoculars are helpful but not required—everyone can participate.”

PYSANKA WORKSHOP: UKRAINIAN EASTER EGGS

$35 per person
Learn how to decorate eggs with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist batik method. You'll create up to 3 beautiful eggs with Daria, an experienced teacher who will show you how they're made. You only need to sign up for one session. Class size limited, ages 15+.
