Summer is in full swing here at Peace Valley Nature Center, take a walk across the bridge, you may see turtles or great blue herons. A more specular sight is our Summer Nature Adventurers and Fledgling Flock campers.

Fledgling Flock campers ages 2-5 venture with a Teacher Naturalist and their guardians to explore the world around them. Watch those Fledglings as they approach the stream, and you can see the excitement in their eyes. Through exploration and discovery they learn about some of the critters that live in the stream. No Fledgling Flock class is complete without a story and a craft.

Our Summer Nature Adventurers also get to have a life-changing experience. These kids ages six to eleven travel the trails exploring and discovering what is out and about this summer. Hiking the trails at Peace Valley Nature Center from field, forest, thicket and stream they  form new friendships and create great memories as well as knowledge about the natural world.  As they arrive for their next day of camp you can just see the excitement in their eyes wondering what new adventure our Teacher Naturalist has in store for them.

Our camps are ongoing,  so don’t be surprised if you see a group of Adventurers counting the number of turtles, they see swimming at the bridge on Chapman road.
